Academic Background
I am a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. I received my B.S. in Economics from the University of the Pacific and my Ph.D. in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton, after which I was Assistant and Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics from 2012-2022 at Purdue University. My expertise is in building econometric models, particularly causal and spatial models, and some topic areas of interest include environmental economics, economic institutions and growth, and agricultural economics. Some of my recent research has been published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Ecological Economics, Econometric Reviews, Economics Letters, European Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Econometric Methods, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Resource and Energy Economics, Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, and one article that appeared in Agricultural and Resource Economics Review won the award for Best Paper of the Year in 2015.
